Choco Dawn, of the Caturra and Castillo varieties, is a regional lot cultivated by several growers in the Tablón de Gómez region of Nariño. This picturesque village, two hours from Buesaco, is home to some of the region's most renowned micro-lots. Here, the cool climate and mountainous topography create ideal conditions for the slow ripening of coffee cherries, resulting in natural sweetness and refined flavours.

Frequent rainfall in this region prolongs the drying of the beans, which take between 20 and 25 days to reach optimum quality. This coffee is the result of close collaboration with the Terra association, the Cafes Especiales de Nariño cooperative, and our importing partner Cofinet, which rigorously selects the best original coffees for us.

Grown at an altitude of between 1,800 and 2,100 metres, this coffee benefits from soil rich in volcanic ash, temperatures ranging from 13 to 25°C, and annual rainfall of between 1,600 and 2,000 mm. Carefully cultivated Castillo and Caturra botanical varieties produce a coffee with a complex, balanced and subtle aromatic profile.

With a score of over 86, this coffee embodies a true sensory experience, a journey to the heart of the Nariño mountains. It's a celebration of the know-how of the growers and the expertise of Cofinet, guaranteeing a coffee of exceptional quality, in every cup.
